Visit Volcano Coffee Roastery at 43 Seddon St, directly opposite the 4 Square in Raetihi. We’re open most of the time for fresh roasted, organic, fairtrade espresso, savoury & sweet treats plus mouth watering, piping hot Volcano Pizza. Licensed with a range boutique wines & craft beers. BYO welcome.

The building is circa 1880 and an original survivor of Raetihi’s devastating fire of 1917.
Inside you’ll find a cosy respite from Ruapehu’s long, wet winters with an ever burning wood fire.

On dry, hot summer days the roastery provides welcome shelter from the heat and an opportunity to enjoy a reviving coffee, ice block or cold drink on the porch overlooking our local volcano, Mt Ruapehu.

A variety of fresh, local & organic products are in store, from medical grade manuka honey and gourmet preserves to handcrafted, aritsan woodwork. The roastery is also home to ‘Carina’s Native Nursery’ where you’ll find a selection of top quality native plants, including ferns, shrubs & trees.
